Rhode Island State Police arrest two concerning death of 10-month-old baby
Two are facing charges after being arrested by Rhode Island State Police concerning the death of a 10-month-old baby.
According to WJAR 10, 31-year-old Esther Pacheco of Providence is being charged with manslaughter and four counts of cruelty to or neglect of a child. 31-year-old Anthony Nuccio, also of Providence, is facing one count of child cruelty or neglect.
On August 6th of last year, a call came into dispatch just before 10:20 a.m. for a child not breathing in the 200 block of Chad Brown Street in Providence.
According to scanner transmissions, both Providence Police and Fire Departments responded to the apartment in an attempt to resuscitate the child who possibly drowned.
The boy was transported to Hasbro Children’s Hospital where, according to multiple reports, he was pronounced dead.
