Rhode Island man released on personal recognizance after Fall River Police make arrest for illegal dumping

Fall River Police have made an arrest on several charges after an alleged illegal dumping.

According to police, on Tuesday, at approximately 7:40 p.m., while on patrol in the area of the Causeway on Wilson Road, Officer Brum from the Environmental Unit observed suspicious activity around a parked vehicle.

The individual, later identified as 30-year-old Kyle Correia from Woonsocket, was seen moving between his truck and the nearby wooded area. Due to the location being known for previous dumping violations, the officer approached to investigate.

Correia attempted to quickly leave the area in his pickup truck but was immediately located on Pond Hill Drive. Officers found construction debris in Correia’s truck bed and at a nearby dumping site that matched the debris left behind.

Kyle Correia was placed under arrest and charged with Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle, Uninsured Motor Vehicle, Unregistered Motor Vehicle, Failure to Stop, Trespass with a Motor Vehicle, and Illegal Dumping.

According to court records. at Wednesday’s arraignment, Correia pled not guilty and was released on personal recognizance with a hearing scheduled for December 12th.
