Rhode Island man granted bail, facing gun charges, after investigation discovered the downloading and sharing of several thousand files of child p*rn

The Rhode Island State Police today announced in a release that on Wednesday, members of the Rhode Island Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force arrested 45-year-old Sean Brazenor of Providence for possession of child pornography, transfer of child pornography, and large capacity feeding devices prohibited (14 counts). 

Detectives from the ICAC Task Force recently identified an IP address as downloading and sharing images and videos of child pornography. Investigation determined that the IP address resolved to 40 Wealth Avenue, Providence and ICAC Task Force executed a residential search warrant at that address. They identified Brazenor as the suspect downloading and sharing several thousand files of child pornography. In addition to over 100 pieces of digital media seized, detectives also seized several firearms and large capacity feeding devices.

Brazenor was arraigned at Sixth Division District Court before the Honorable Judge Stephen Isherwood, where bail was set at $4,000 with surety, with the special conditions of limited internet access and no unsupervised contact with minors. 

The Rhode Island Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force actively engages in investigative efforts to identify subjects involved in child‑exploitation-related activities. The Rhode Island ICAC Task Force Program is administered by the Rhode Island State Police and supports a national network of multi-agency, multi‑jurisdictional task forces engaged in investigations, forensic examinations, and prosecutions related to internet crimes against children and technology‑facilitated child sexual exploitation.

The Rhode Island ICAC Task Force is comprised of members of the Rhode Island State Police Computer Crimes Unit, along with detectives from the Warwick Police Department, Cranston Police Department, East Providence Police Department, Pawtucket Police Department, Johnston Police Department, Narragansett Police Department, Middletown Police Department, and Homeland Security Investigations.
