Attorney General Peter Neronha announced that a Burrillville man has been charged in Kent County Superior Court with possession of a ghost gun and large capacity magazines following his arrest on May 19, 2023, by Warwick Police.
On March 20, 2024, the Office of the Attorney General charged 57-year-old Michael Durvin, by way of criminal information, with one count of possession of a ghost gun, one count of possession of a large capacity magazine, and one count of disorderly conduct.
As alleged in the criminal information, on May 19, 2023, Warwick Police responded to a report of a man in a black Toyota Highlander brandishing a firearm at another vehicle during a road rage incident. Officers located the defendant and stopped him at a Cumberland Farms in West Warwick. Police then conducted a search of the vehicle, during which they found a Polymer 80 9mm handgun, a Glock handgun, and five 15 round magazines.
Durvin was arraigned Friday April 12th.
