Rhode Island high school student who was shot to death is being remembered

A Rhode Island teen has been identified as the victim of a fatal shooting.
According to police, on Tuesday at approximately 5:45 p.m., Pawtucket Police responded to the vicinity of Bloomingdale at Humboldt Avenues for a report of shots fired.
Upon arrival officers came upon an adult male suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
The victim was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.
The shooting appears to have been a targeted incident.
On Friday, the victim was identified as 19-year-old Jesse Baptista.
According to an obituary, Baptista “will be remembered for his infectious laugh and making those around him feel comfortable. He was a great son, brother, uncle, and friend. He left an impact on everyone he came into contact with and was loved by so many.”
