A Rhode Island mother and daughter are battling several serious injuries after a recent incident.
On Monday morning at approximately 7:00 a.m. near Hamlet Avenue and Manville Road in Woonsocket, RI, Dena and her 4-year-old daughter Eliza were struck by a car in a tragic accident after the vehicle lost control and struck a snowbank.
Both have sustained severe injuries.
A GoFundMe fundraiser has released more details on their conditions.
“Dena suffered multiple broken bones, including her collarbones, ribs, and a fracture in her leg. She is currently unconscious and facing numerous surgeries. Heartbreakingly, she is not aware of her daughter Eliza’s condition.
“Eliza is in critical condition, fighting for her life at Hasbro Children’s Hospital. Her prognosis is uncertain, and her family is holding onto hope and prayers for her survival.”
Donations will go toward medical expenses, transportation, and any needs that arise as they focus on recovery and healing.
