A Massachusetts woman has turned a special number into a big State Lottery prize.

According to the Massachusetts State Lottery, Susan Shick of Revere is the winner of the final $1 million prize in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s “Diamonds and Dollars” $5 instant ticket game.

Schick chose the cash option on her prize and received a one-time payment of $650,000 (before taxes). She said she plans on saving her winnings for retirement.

Massachusetts State Lottery stated that she picked bin number 16 in the vending machine because that’s her birth date.

Schick bought her winning ticket at Blanchards, 286 American Legion Hwy. in Revere. The store receives a $10,000 bonus for its sale of this ticket.
