Restaurant and entertainment establishment with Latin American flare coming to Fall River
A new restaurant and entertainment spot is coming to Fall River.
Attorney David Assad represented co-owner of Origen Restaurant Bar & Grill Elvis Verdezoto at the Fall River Licensing Board meeting on Wednesday asking for a New All Alcohol Common Victuallers License and an Entertainment License.
The Latin American eatery will open in downtown at 159 South Main Street, the former SADO Asian Food Sushi & Bar.
Hours of operation are expected to be Sunday to Wednesday 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. and Thursday to Saturday 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m.
An opening date for the new venture was not released.
Entertainment will consist of live music, a DJ or karaoke.
Verdezoto’s wife and another co-owner have extensive restaurant experience, according to Assad.
According to a previous leasing listing for the property, the restaurant has been recently remodeled within the past 3 years with new equipment, flooring, walls, and exterior. There is seating for 135 with built in booths and movable tables and chairs. The bar also has a 24-tap system.
Verdezoto was granted the requested licenses by the Board.
