Responders save dog that falls through ice
Team work in a Rhode Island town led to a successful rescue of a dog this past weekend.
Fire crews and Hope Valley Ambulance Saturday afternoon were dispatched to 61 Camp Yawgoog Road in Hopkington for a dog that had fallen through the ice.
According to Hope Valley – Wyoming Fire, firefighters were able to locate and coordinate rescue of the dog via boat from across the pond. With a great team effort, the dog was successfully rescued and transferred to the Hopkinton Animal Control officer for transport to an animal hospital.
The K9 was extremely happy to get into the heat with the ACO.
