Report: Marc Dion let go at WSAR Friday

Published

on

Marc Dion has reportedly been let go at WSAR.

According to Dion, WSAR let him go Friday after his show.

“I did my last show for WSAR today. Management let me go, saying they “wanted to go in another direction.”

“Thanks to all of you who listened to my show, and the buffet of music offered up by Mikey Board Op. It was a good three years.”

Dion won listeners over with his unique style of humor and politics that was previously seen through his writings for The Herald News and Fall River Reporter.

According to the WSAR website, on Monday through Friday, the 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. time slot will be filled by The Jamie Tyrell Show.

WSAR; Bob Karam, James Karam; please intervene here! WSAR is trading one complete bore for another bigger bore fest. I will refuse to listen to WSAR until someone who can speak on matters of relevance comes to your airwaves. I like the fact that I can call the shows at WSAR, but when the hosts are inept at speaking on important matters I’m gone. Will Flanagan is the exception, he will broach nearly any topic on his show and will listen to ideas other than his own.
I will be listening to “The War Room Pandemic Show” with host Steven K Bannon daily at 10AM online. Local radio is good for a couple of segments each day but you’ve got to get to the meat and potatoes nationally to be relevant anymore. Local hosts speaking on global matters can be a working format at WSAR.

To both Mr. Karam’s…you do not understand how much Marc Dion did for his listeners. Monday through Friday my radio has been on from 9-11 for the past three years. While I was cooking and cleaning. Listening to the “Dion’s Den” helped me to forget about my problems. He made me (and my mom, another avid fan) laugh so much and he always touched on all kinds of topics. I know there are tons of other fans who feel the same way I do.
As far as the comment above, well everyone is entitled to their own opinion but Marc listened to and let everyone speak whether he agreed with them or not. He did indeed speak on global matters. You don’t have to be serious 100% of the time, a little fun is good for the soul! I was shocked when I just learned of the news and sad to say that you have lost me (and my mom) as a listener and I am sure there are more fans that feel this way.
Good luck Marc and good luck WSAR!

Lady; it’s Marc not MARK! You can still see Marc doing his show at AlMacs diner with guest host clifford ponte. They will be covering the failures of Fall River politicos, current and past, and Marc will be taking donations for his bacon habit and forever poors.

I found Marc to be an incredible, highly intelligent and humorous host for WSAR. He displayed such a wide range of knowledge and insight that would leave me asking, “How in the world does he know so much about that!” Then I remembered he was a newspaper reporter for a few decades and he’s probably heard and read it all. He was always polite to his callers and open to whatever the caller wanted to discuss from the serious topics to the simple, humorous ones. It’s a definite loss for WSAR. Life is all about the journey. Enjoy the rest of ur journey Marc.

Intelligent is a strong word! I call it opinionated. Marc has views on things and he sticks with them. You could slap this guy with the truth and he would hang on to all the falsities he has consumed. Marc really thinks Joe Biden received 81 million votes in the 2020 Election because Rachel Maddow on MSDNC said it was so. This fact makes it clear that he is a perpetrator of “THE BIG LIE” Speaking on matters without any evidentiary analysis doesn’t make one smart, just makes them a democrat…

Marc Dion was a bore but this new guy is the most depressing personality to hit the airwaves.

WSAR loves failed/disgraced politicians. From Flanagun to Rego to Bigelow to Rich C. I wouldn’t be surprised if we see The Jasiel Corriea show soon.
