Rehoboth woman arrested after leaving scene of crash
A Rehoboth woman was arrested last night after fleeing from a crash.
According to Sgt. Richard Shailor, at approximately 9:10 p.m., the Rehoboth Police Department was dispatched to the area of 175 Bay State Road for a report of a motor vehicle crash. The caller stated that the vehicle had struck a utility pole in front of the cemetery. Upon arrival, Officers located the vehicle, but were unable to locate the operator who had left the scene.
After getting a description of the female operator from witnesses, officers searched the area. Sgt. James Casey located and identified the operator a short distance away and identified her as Angela Manning, 38, of Rehoboth.
After a short roadside investigation, Manning was placed under arrest by Officer Chris Pezzuolo and charged with Operating under the influence of Alcohol, Negligent Operation of a Motor Vehicle, Leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident, a marked lanes violation, and speeding.
She is due in Taunton District Court today to be arraigned on the charges.
