Recent Dartmouth High School graduate killed in crash remembered for warmth and kindness

A local teen that died in a weekend crash is being remembered.
According to police, on Sunday, at approximately 9:30 p.m., Dartmouth Police, along with other emergency personnel, responded to the area of 234 Russells Mills Road for a single vehicle crash with reported injuries.
Upon arrival, officers located a male unresponsive in the roadway near a damaged 2003 Hyundai Sonata.
The male, subsequently identified as 18-year-old Nikoles Joseph of Dartmouth, was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office, after the crash, the driver’s door was ajar, and police located Joseph pinned between the vehicle and telephone pole.
A co-worker of Nik’s at PieZoni’s in South Dartmouth expressed the profound loss.
“I can say without a shadow of a doubt that he was always exuded warmth and kindness in the restaurant. He was a beacon of laughter and good memories everyone who knew him will hold onto for the rest of their lives, and it was an honor to have known him. Nik was a great kid. This is a monumental loss for everyone involved.”
Joseph graduated from Dartmouth High School earlier this month and was also a defensive tackle on the varsity football team.
The crash currently remains under investigation by members of the Dartmouth Police Department and the Massachusetts State Police.
