A popular chicken chain has set their opening date for Fall River.

According to property records, Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers struck an agreement on February 5th, 2024, to locate at 323 William S. Canning Blvd. and signed a 15-year lease with 5 (5-year) options to extend.

In the summer of 2021, Family Foods Grocery Outlet at 323 William S. Canning Boulevard closed and was later purchased by the Procaccianti Group.

The group demolished the building and planned to construct a Neon Gas Station & Convenience Store. Ralph Izzi Jr., Vice President Corporate Marketing & Public Affairs at Procaccianti Companies, anticipated completion of the new Neon Marketplace in Fall River for late 2023 but the project was later scratched.

That led to the agreement between Neon and Raising Cane.

The fast-food chain is known for hand battered chicken that’s marinated for 24 hours, then cooked to order. Their Cane’s Sauce® is made fresh daily in every Cane’s® Restaurant. The eatery also features lightly salted crinkle-cut fries, creamy coleslaw, Texas toast and a chicken sandwich.

Representatives stressed that in addition to the food, the brand also prides itself on having a beautiful landscape at their locations and being part of the community.

The 3,287 square foot Fall River location with a double drive-thru and 29 parking spaces is expected to open on August 5th.

Raising Cane’s opened their first restaurant in Louisiana on August 28th, 1996, and now boasts over 700 locations.
