Providence man killed in highway crash remembered as great man with a sense of humor
A local man has died and is being remembered after a recent highway crash.
According to State Police, Troopers responded to a 2 car motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Wauregan Rd and Gorman Rd in the town of Brooklyn, CT.
A 2006 Blue Dodge pickup driven by a 22-year-old Connecticut man and a 2007 Ford Explorer driven by 70-year-old Sergio Valera Urena of Providence were observed with disabling damage as a result of the accident.
Urena was determined deceased on scene.
The Connecticut man was transported to a hospital with minor injuries.
Urena was described by those who knew him as an extraordinary human being with a good sense of humor.
The collision remains under investigation and no charges have currently been filed.
