Several organizations have combined to stage protests in Massachusetts and throughout the country Saturday.

The planned peaceful protests are in response to the Trump administration’s air strikes that killed Qassem Soleimani, the top military leader of Iran. The groups are in opposition to a war in Iran and are also an advocate for troops coming home.

Iran has threatened retaliation on the United States for the move.

ANSWER Coalition, CODEPINK, Popular Resistance, Veterans for Peace, World Beyond War, and Massachusetts Peace Action are among the list of organizations sponsoring the protests.

Protests are scheduled to take place in the following Massachusetts cities and towns.

Arlington, MA
Noon at Broadway Plaza, Mass. Ave. and Medford St
Initiated by Arlington United for Justice with Peace (AUJP)

Boston, MA
2pm at Park street MBTA station

Northampton, MA
11am in front of the Courthouse on Main St

More rallies will be taking place in Andover, Walpole, and Providence.

Other protests are taking place throughout the United States including the White House.

I see that the chicken hawks are out in force. Let them cheer on war because they know that they’ll never be on the front lines. I bet these are the same people that claim to “support our troops”… The only thing you support is sending them to their desths.
