Probable cause hearing scheduled after ICE Boston arrests Haitian national after pending sex and, extortion charges in Fall River

BOSTON – ICE officers from the Boston field office arrested a 20-year-old from Haiti, during a vehicle stop, July 18th, in Fall River, Massachusetts.  

According to court records, Pierre Andy Jean-Louis has pending criminal charges for possession of child pornography, indecent assault and battery on a person over 14, and extortion by threat of injury. 

“There is no person more disturbing than one who stands accused of preying upon the most innocent members of our communities,” said acting ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations Boston Field Office Director David Wesling. “ICE Boston will continue to prioritize public safety by working tenaciously to remove alleged child sex predators from our New England neighborhoods.”

According to ICE, U.S. Customs and Border Protection arrested Jean-Louis after he entered the United States September 24th, 2024, at Nogales, Arizona. CBP later released him on a two-year parole.

Court records show that Jean-Louis was arrested on June 22nd for offenses that allegedly took place on April 29th and 30th. At arraignment in Fall River District Court, he pled not guilty and was released on personal recognizance. He has a probable cause hearing scheduled for September 18th after it was originally set to take place on August 7th.

ICE states that officers arrested and served Jean-Louis with a notice to appear before a Justice Department immigration judge and he will receive full due process under federal immigration laws.

He remains in custody pending the immigration judge’s deportation decision.
