Pro boxing is back in Fall River on Saturday, March 29, at 7 PM at the CYO Building (403 Anawan Street) as Fall River Fight Night takes place, presented by Boston Boxing Promotions.

“We ran an event in Fall River in 2023 and have been waiting for the right time to come back, and we feel that time is now,” said Boston Boxing Promotions President Peter Czymbor. “There is so much boxing talent in that city, and we’ve loaded the card with them in tough and competitive matchups.”

In the main event, Fall River’s Kyle Cusick (6-3, 2 KOs) takes on Maine’s Steven Kirkwood (3-1, 3 KOs) in a six-round middleweight fight. Many New England boxing insiders are pegging this bout as a potential Fight of the Year contender, considering both fighters’ action-packed styles that rarely see either take a backward step. Both fighters are coming off of successful 2nd round knockout performances.

In heavyweight action, Fall River’s Jon Gruber (6-2, 2 KOs) faces Maine’s Liam Harriman (1-0, 1 KO). Gruber is a battle-tested boxer with deceptive athletic ability, while Harriman is a go-for-broke slugger who looks to end fights with every punch.

Fall River welterweight Ricky Jordan (1-0) will also be in action, taking on Milford’s Jonathan Delgado (3-0-1, 3 KOs). Jordan trains in town at Love’s Boxing, while Delgado also trains in Fall River under 2024 Boston Boxing Promotions “Trainer of the Year” Aaron Bernardo.

Appearing alongside stablemate Kyle Cusick in a heavyweight attraction is fan-favorite Chriss Aiello (2-0, 2 KOs), who also trains at the Fall River PAL boxing gym under the tutelage of legendary longtime trainer Libby Medeiros.

Also featured on the card are Fall River native Johnny Kim and Rhode Island boxers Alfred Keenan Raymond and Davhon Shelton.

Tickets are available at www.BostonBoxingPromotions.com and through various local fighters competing on the card.
