Preliminary cause released after death under Fall River overpass

A preliminary cause of death has been released concerning the death of a man in Fall River who may have been homeless.

Early Thursday afternoon, the medical examiner could be seen under an overpass near 18 Pocasset Street.

A tent could be seen on the side of the overpass, but it is not clear if the deceased was living in the tent.

According to Mayor Paul Coogan, the man is believed to have died from an overdose.
