Possible attempted abduction reported in Fall River
A possible attempted abduction took place recently in the City of Fall River.
A call came into dispatch on Saturday just before 4:45 p.m. for a reported attempted adult kidnapping outside in the area of 171 Rhode Island Avenue by a Hispanic male and female. The victim reported that he got away and the suspects were driving a blue Ford Explorer with a shattered driver’s window & Florida plates. A “be on the lookout” was then issued.
At about the same time the call came into dispatch, someone posted this to social media.
“To anyone in the Fall River area please be careful. There is a blue Ford Explorer with a shattered driver’s window & Florida plates driving around. The male & female parties attempted to abduct (force into the vehicle) someone close to me about 30 minutes ago behind the Dollar Tree on (Rhode Island Avenue). This world is getting so terrifying, sad to say but no one is safe anymore. Police have been notified.”
Fall River Reporter contacted the Fall River Police Department for an update on this incident and have not received a response as of this writing.
