Portsmouth Police arrest 7 from Massachusetts and Rhode Island on DUI-related charges
Portsmouth, RI — The Portsmouth Police Department made seven DUI-related arrests between August 1st and August 5th, 2025, as part of its continued proactive enforcement efforts.
On August 1st at 9:08 a.m., officers responded to a motor vehicle accident at West Main Road and Union Street. As a result of the investigation, 43-year-old Ameena Gatlin of Providence was arrested for DUI with a BAC more than three times the legal limit, registering .245% and .240% on a chemical breath test. She was charged under § 31-27-2 for DUI of Liquor – BAC .15 or Greater.
In the early morning hours of August 2nd at 2:02 a.m., John Cerilli, age 33, of Providence, was arrested and charged with DUI of Liquor – Unknown BAC and refusal to submit to a chemical test. Later that same day, at 5:38 p.m., Robbin McCrohan, age 42, of Berkley, Massachusetts, was taken into custody and charged with DUI of Liquor – BAC between .10 and .15. McCrohan’s breath test results were .120% and .115%.
On August 3rd at 6:18 p.m., 35-year-old Troy Drapeau of Tiverton was arrested and charged with DUI of Liquor – Unknown BAC and refusal to submit to a chemical test.
In the early hours of August 4th at 1:34 a.m., Juan Aguon III, age 44, of New Bedford, Massachusetts, was charged with DUI of Liquor – Unknown BAC and refusal to submit to a chemical test (2nd offense). That afternoon, at 12:42 p.m., officers arrested David Faucher, age 42, of Warwick, for DUI of Liquor – Unknown BAC and refusal to submit to a chemical test.
The final arrest during this period occurred on August 5th at 12:51 a.m., when 47-year-old Osaze Imasuen of Hyde Park, Massachusetts, was charged with DUI of Liquor – BAC between .08 and .10.
