Portsmouth family member announces tragic passing of local mother

Family members have announced the tragic death of a local mother.

According to Portsmouth family and a GoFundMe fundraiser, 35-year-old Kaitlyn Chere “was a loving and caring mother to her seven-year-old daughter, Emma. She always did the best she could for Emma, showing her love and support every day. Despite facing her own struggles with depression, Kaitlyn’s devotion to her daughter never wavered.”

In addition to being a caring mother, those who knew Chere described her as sweet yet fierce, trying so hard through her struggles.

“As we navigate this difficult time, we are faced with unexpected expenses for Kaitlyn’s funeral and burial. We want to honor her memory and provide Emma with the support she needs as she adjusts to life without her mother.”
