Our previous story:
A fairly new, but popular, eatery in Swansea has found a new home after a bit of misfortune.
No Joke Smoke BBQ opened at the end of 2018 at the Swansea Mall only to find out a few months later that they needed to find a new home.
Ryan and Sharon Nahas started their adventure selling bbq sauces in 2015. The popularity of the sauces led to the location at the mall.
Wanting to stay in the area, No Joke has found a new spot at 396 Wilbur Avenue in town.
The New England Style BBQ joint will be called The Saucery No Joke Smoke BBQ. The plan is to have the establishment open in phases according to a statement on their Facebook page. No Joke expects to open Phase 1 in Spring/Summer 2019 while continuing to stay open until the mall closes later this month.
In their statement, the Nahas’ gave a preview of what you can expect.
“You will be able to learn about and sample our line of N.E. Style, Award Winning, homemade sauces. Made each season in house and available inside The Saucery Tasting Room, where you can also sit and relax with family and friends and indulge in our New England stlye Bbq, featuring our Signature Bbq sauces.”
“Tight on time? Just pop in for take out, or, take advantage of our delivery service.”
“You can even pair your meal with a great, local craft beer, or wine.. Or, even better, just enjoy a flight of your preference. We will frequently highlight and introduce a different local brewery on tap, as well as carry wines from your favorite, local N.E. Wineries.”
“We will have an exciting kids menu, featuring some classics, along with some NJS signatures, including ice cream floats.”
“The Saucery will also have live, local entertainment on the weekends, to help kickstart your nights!”
“This is just the beginning! We know without all of our customers, family and friends, we would not be where we are, right now!”
“We will be running a kickstarter campaign to help finance part of the phase 1 build as well as phase 2, Spring/Summer 2020.”
Despite their bad luck, it sounds like No Joke Smoke BBQ is on their way to regaining their footing once again.
