Popular Fall River restaurant reopening with revamped menu, hours, website
One of Fall River’s iconic spots is not only reopening this week, but will be expanding their hours and menu.
Almac’s Diner, at 135 President Avenue, is returning from their COVID-19 shutdown on Monday May 18th at 7:00 a.m. and is emerging bigger and better.
The diner had closed on March 15th with the intention of opening back up on April 7th. However, the continued pandemic caused the eatery to stay closed. While shut down, Cliff Ponte Sr. and family weren’t sitting back as several new plans were in the works.
While Almac’s will only be open for takeout due to Governor Baker’s order keeping restaurant dining rooms empty, new menu items, a new website, and new hours are being revealed.
Almac’s will be unveiling new drinks including a new homebrewed signature ice coffee called the Al Macs Iced Brew along with a Caramel Mocha Iced Coffee.
As part of their new expanded menu, Almac’s will now be serving Stuffed French Toast, Homemade Buffalo Chicken Egg Rolls, American Chop Suey, Macaroni & Cheese With Buffalo Chicken, Meatloaf Dinner, Steak and Cheese Sandwich, and a Portuguese Burger (Ground Beef and Chourico with Cheese and Pepper Rings) in addition to their previous offerings.
Almac’s has also expanded its hours. The diner will be open for business Monday & Wednesday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Thursday through Saturday 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Sunday 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. It will remain closed on Tuesdays.
Finally, a new website has been launched that will allow you to order online and have your order ready for pick-up at http://www.almacsdinertogo.com/
It is yet to be known when the location will be allowed to accept dine-in patrons.
