A popular Fall River middle school employee has died.

According to an obituary, 56-year-old Jocelyn Rodrigues passed away on Friday.

Jocelyn served as a devoted Lunch Lady at Kuss Middle School, where she went beyond simply serving food. She offered warmth and reassurance to the students, greeting them with a warm smile and encouraging words. Her affection for kids shone through in all her actions, yet her deepest fulfillment came from motherhood—a role she held as her most precious gift and embraced with profound devotion.

The simple pleasures of life brought her immense happiness: her beloved cats, Cora and Rocky, who brought endless cheer to her household, along with her cherished granddog, Bryce, whom she eagerly watched over. Jocelyn’s zest for living was apparent in her passions; she adored 1970s tunes and was a passionate fan of Harley-Davidson motorcycles, approaching every adventure with enthusiasm. She also held a special admiration for eagles, symbols of power and liberty that mirrored the resilient soul she embodied.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 13th at the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 South Main St. Fall River, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a funeral service with Chaplain Ines Bates, beginning at 11:00 AM.

Burial will follow at Saint Patrick Cemetery, Fall River.
