A popular local catering, takeout, and delivery eatery known for its Portuguese cuisine is up for sale.

Owner Caite Fontes announced on social media that she has decided to sell Two Sisters at 743 Dartmouth Street in Dartmouth.

“For the past ten beautiful years, I have been blessed beyond measure by the opportunities this business has brought me. From serving hundreds of thousands of people, to being featured on the Food Network, and winning multiple awards, it has been an incredible journey. I’ve had the most amazing customers who have turned into incredible friends, and like-minded business owners who I’ve had the honor to build relationships within the restaurant community. I have been incredibly fortunate to have had fantastic employees throughout the years, who have helped make my dreams come true. I wouldn’t change a thing about the last decade.

“However, family and health come first. I need to be there for them and for myself. Mental health is a real concern, and I have no shame in saying that I need to take care of it in order to become more successful in all aspects of my life.

“I can walk away with grace and dignity, knowing I built an amazing company. I thank every one of you who have shown up and supported me through it all.

“We are open for business until it sells. Catering and retail are open: Tuesday: 11-3, Wednesday: 11-3, Thursday: 11-3, Friday: 11-3, and Saturday: 11-3.”

Two Sisters Catering began with Fontes and her sister Courtney through a food truck before opening the Dartmouth Street location late last year.

Read what was written, please. Absolutely NOTHING about the economy. Family and health were the issues cited. Check the facts before you make assumptions.
