Police with help from K9, arrest two, seize $50,000 in cocaine, $10,000 in cash

With the help of a K9, police say that they arrested two while seizing a large quantity of drugs and cash.

According to police, on November 17, the Pawtucket Police Department’s Narcotics Unit along with members of the Newport Police Department’s Investigative Unit executed a court-ordered search warrant on Palm Street in the city of Pawtucket.

The search warrant was issued after an investigation by the Pawtucket Police Narcotics Unit and Newport Police Investigative Unit into distribution of large amounts of Cocaine from the residence into several surrounding communities.

After the search warrant was executed, members of the Pawtucket Police Department along with Pawtucket Police K9 “MAGNO” stopped a suspicious vehicle outside of the residence. After further investigation and with the assistance of K9 “MAGNO”, a search warrant was executed on the vehicle after K9 “MAGNO” alerted to suspected narcotics inside of the vehicle. Inside the vehicle detectives located two Kilograms of suspected Cocaine with a street value of $50,000. Inside of the residence, detectives located approximately 235 grams of Cocaine, digital scales, packaging material, a kilo press, and approximately $10,000.

Jocabeth Garcia-Ramirez was arrested and charged with Manufacturing/Possession with intent to Deliver 1oz.-1 kilo, Possession with intent to Deliver-Schedule I/II (Cocaine), Maintaining a common nuisance, and Distribution/Manufacturing of a controlled substance-In or near a school.

Cristian Munera Castrillo was arrested and charged with Manufacturing/Possession with intent to Deliver over 1 kilo of Cocaine, Manufacturing/Possession with intent to Deliver Cocaine, and Driving while in possession of a controlled substance.
