Fall River Police seeking witnesses regarding two gunshot reports

Fall River police responded to two reports of gunshots this week.

On December 12 at approximately 11:30 p.m., officers of the Fall River Police Department were dispatched to Quequechan Street on a report of three or four gunshots being heard. Officers responded but were unable to locate any evidence at that time of night.

On the following day, Officers Brandon Stukus and P. Mcguire, while assigned to the Special Operations Impact Task Force, returned to the area in daylight as part of a proactive patrol. While doing so they discovered a 2013 Mercedes on the corner of Canonicous and Quequechan Streets with several bullet holes. They also canvassed the area looking for witnesses but none were located. Crime Scene Unit Detective T. Burns responded to the scene, photographed and collected evidence.

On December 13 at approximately 11:00 p.m. Fall River Police Department Officers Brandon Wixon, J. Deschenes, D. Gouveia, C. Rocha and street supervisor Sergeant B. Nadeau were dispatched to the 300 block of Fifth Street regarding a ‘ShotSpotter’ activation indicating 7 shots had been fired. Upon arrival Officers began canvassing the area for witnesses and evidence. Sgt. Nadeau and Officer Deschenes located a total of five shell casing. Other Officers located witnesses who reported seeing a dark skinned heavyset male wearing a dark coat and a second male wearing all dark clothing run from the area. Crime Scene Unit Detective T. Burns responded to photograph and recover the shell casings.
