Police search for suspect after motorcycle pursuit through Freetown, Berkley, Dighton, Somerset
FREETOWN, MA — Chief Scott Rose reports that the Freetown Police Department is investigating a motor vehicle pursuit that occurred during the early morning hours of Sunday.
At just after 1:30 a.m., officers initiated a motor vehicle stop and later a pursuit of a recreational motorcycle after observing reckless operation and multiple traffic violations on South Main St. in Freetown.
The pursuit traveled through the towns of Berkley, Dighton, and Somerset, where local law enforcement agencies provided assistance. Officers later terminated the pursuit in the interest of public safety.
The operator of the motorcycle has not been identified, and the vehicle remains outstanding. No injuries or property damage were reported as a result of the incident.
This matter remains under active investigation by the Freetown Police Department.
