Police: Pedestrian killed after being hit by train in southeastern Massachusetts
One person is dead after being hit by a train Monday evening in southeastern Massachusetts.
According to police, officers at approximately 7:15 p.m., Bourne Police and Fire Departments were dispatched to the area of Perry Avenue and Aptucxet Road for a reported crash involving a train striking a person.
Upon arrival, responders located an 18-year-old party from Bourne that was deceased.
The victim’s name has not yet been released.
The incident is being investigated by MA State Police Detectives assigned to the Cape and Island District Attorney’s Office along with MBTA Police.
