Police: Massachusetts man exposes himself, commits assault and battery, other offenses
A Massachusetts man was arrested over the weekend on some disturbing charges.
According to Marshfield Police, on Saturday, at approximately 8:13 p.m. The Marshfield Police Department responded to a report of a man at a local store following two female customers around the store then exposing himself to them. Prior to police arrival, he had left the area in a white Infinity Sedan with dark colored wheels and a loud exhaust. Upon investigating, a description of the suspect was obtained.
Later in the evening at approximately 11:26 p.m., Marshfield Police responded to a local restaurant for a report of an assault and battery. Upon arrival, police were informed a man who had been removed from the establishment earlier in the night had returned and been escorted out of the restaurant a second time by staff. Once outside, he punched an innocent bystander in the face, then fled the scene in a White Infinity Sedan with loud exhaust. Upon investigating, a description of the suspect was also obtained. Responding officers located a white Infinity Sedan with dark colored wheels and loud exhaust on Rt 139 heading away from the scene. The operator was identified as 31-year-old Scott Williams of Braintree. Both Williams and his vehicle matched the description from both earlier crimes.
After an investigation, it was determined Williams had operated his motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. He was placed under arrest on numerous charges. He will be arraigned in Plymouth District Court on Monday, December 13th, and charged with Assault and Battery, OUI Liquor Second Offense, Marked Lanes Violation, Expired Inspection Sticker, License Not In Possession, and Operating to Create Harsh and Objectionable Noise.
Williams was later identified by CCTV video from the store and will be summonsed to court on Open and Gross Lewdness.
