Police looking to warn the public after woman escapes death after serious crash on Route 495
A woman is lucky to be alive after her vehicle was destroyed in a crash this weekend.
According to Boxborough Police, Saturday evening, the Boxborough Police Department and Boxborough Fire Department responded to a motor vehicle crash on I-495 South.
A van was disabled in the break down lane and the operator remained inside of the vehicle. She observed a tractor trailer approaching quickly from the rear while travelling in the break down lane.
Luckily for her, she exited the van prior to impact from the rear by the tractor trailer.
That quick thinking saved her life as PD stated that she was free from injury.
Boxborough Police wanted to serve this as a reminder that if you break down on the highway you should exit your vehicle and seek shelter behind a guardrail if possible.

No you have a lot of companies Haring alot of non qualified illegals for cheap money .I also drive a truck and I see this all day long.i had a non qualified diver cut me off just today on 128. He jacked on the break where there was actually smoke coming from the tires which inturn I had to hit my breaks and almost rear-ended him
