UPDATE: Police locate missing Taunton woman
TAUNTON — Chief Edward J. Walsh reports that the Taunton Police Department has located a resident who had previously been missing since Friday afternoon.
Taunton Police were attempting to locate Maria Goncalves Pereira, age 53, who left her Beacon Street residence at approximately 5 p.m. Friday, March 25. Pereira suffers from cognitive impairments which police believe impede her ability to find her way home. She was reported missing at approximately 7 p.m. yesterday.
Taunton Police would like to thank the members of the public who helped in the effort to locate the resident, who has been found and is safe.
