Police looking for Massachusetts vehicle involved in fatal hit-and-run crash in Providence
Police are looking for a suspect involved in a fatal hit-and-run crash on Saturday.
According to information from scanner transmissions and RI DOT, just before 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, a person was struck and killed in the area of the entrance ramp on RI 10 Northbound at exit 3A (Union Avenue) in Providence.
The entrance ramp was blocked for approximately 2 hours.
According to WJAR, police say the suspect was driving a GMC truck with Massachusetts plates.
The victim’s name has yet to be released.
