Police have reportedly located a suspect allegedly involved in incidents with a Massachusetts State Rep and others.

This morning, at approx. 9:00 a.m., Qunicy Police received a call from a female who stated that a male approached her and claimed that her car was leaking oil. The female immediately contacted the Quincy Police Department and provided a description of the vehicle – a white Jeep Patriot.

The suspect vehicle was located in Quincy. Detectives interviewed the operator who was transported to a local hospital for evaluation. No arrest has been made at this time, therefore police have not released any further information.

“While we are confident this is the suspect from previously reported incidents, our detectives continue to investigate. We encourage everyone to remain vigilant and report any suspicious behavior.”

Alyson Sullivan, who represents the Town of Abington, took to social media to let people know what transpired so they wouldn’t become a victim.

“Please be aware. This evening at the Target in Stoughton, a man tried to coax me out of my car claiming I had an oil leak. I checked my car when it was safe to do so, and I did not have an oil leak. The police were notified. Unfortunately, similar events have been happening so please be aware at all times. Please be aware of your surroundings especially when out alone shopping. Remember to never get out of your car. If concerned, call the police for assistance. Stay vigilant.”

Several other incidents of a similar nature have also been reported concerning a man driving a white Jeep Patriot and telling females that their car is leaking oil.
