Police issue warning as driver in Massachusetts arrested after driving on car rims
A police department in Massachusetts is warning drivers after an interesting drive that was taken recently.
Last weekend the Whitman Police Department received a call for an erratic operator traveling northbound on Route 18. The vehicle was quickly located and stopped.
The picture above shows the vehicle’s right front passenger wheel (or what should be a wheel/tire). There were sparks shooting from the rim as the operator continued down the road.
The operator was found to be intoxicated and was subsequently placed under arrest.
WPD stated that the operator told their officers that he was just trying to get home. They issued a plea to driver’s thinking of hitting the road after drinking alcohol.
“Lots of other sober and innocent people are trying to get home too. Please, please, please, DO NOT DRIVE if you have been drinking. An Uber, Lyft, or taxi cost much less than an OUI arrest, not to mention the car repairs this vehicle will need. We were fortunate that this operator did not cause a tragedy along the way. Drive sober or get pulled over.”
Police did not release the name or other details concerning the suspect.
