UPDATE: Police investigating Fall River shooting after report of shots fired
Fall River Police are investigating a Friday night shooting.
According to Det. Sergeant Moses Pereira, at approximately 8:30 p.m., units responded to Elsbree Street in response to a report of shots fired.
Once on scene, witnesses reported what was described as an argument between a group of juveniles. As the argument escalated, three gunshots were reportedly fired before the juveniles fled the area on foot.
Officers were able to locate three spent shell casings in the area.
There were no injuries.
The Crime Scene Unit and Major Crimes Division responded to assist with the investigation.
Pereira stated that the investigation is ongoing at this time. Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Matthew Gauvin.
