Police investigating after vehicle with 3 inside hit by gunfire in Fall River
Fall River Police are investigating after a second shooting in less than 48 hours.
According to Lt. Gregory Wiley, on Wednesday at approximately 6:42 p.m., FRPD officers responded to the intersection of Charles Street and South Main Street for a reported shooting.
Upon arrival, officers located 1 male and 2 female victims who informed the officers that as they were travelling south on South Main Street, they heard several loud “pops” as they passed the McDonalds located at the intersection of South Main and Charles Street. The victims at first believed it may have been fireworks, until they realized their vehicle was struck by a bullet.
The victims fled the area and called 911.
There were no reported injuries.
On Monday, a store owner was shot and killed on Rock Street.
The investigation is still active. Anyone who has any information regarding this incident is asked to call the Fall River Police Department.
