Police investigating after three Rhode Island juvenile bicycle riders injured by same vehicle
Three juveniles were injured after a collision in Rhode Island.
According to police, on Monday afternoon, at approximately 1:30 p.m., the West Warwick Police Department responded to the intersection of West Warwick Avenue at Main Street for a report of a car vs bicyclists crash.
It was determined that three boys, 12, 12, and 13 years of age had been struck while riding their bicycles.
The operator of the involved motor vehicle stayed at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation.
All 3 juveniles were transported to Hasbro Children’s Hospital by rescue. Although 2 suffered serious injuries, none appear to be life threatening.
The crash is being investigated by the Crash Reconstruction Unit, the Detective Division, and the Patrol Division.
