Police investigating after person shot in Taunton
TAUNTON — Chief Edward J. Walsh reports that the Taunton Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred this evening.
At approximately 6:50 p.m., dispatchers received a call reporting shots fired in the area of an apartment building at 30 Highland Street.
Upon arrival, police located a person suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to an area hospital. Their condition is unknown at this time.
The incident remains under active investigation and no additional information is available at this time. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call the Taunton Police Department at 508-821-1471.
