Police in Rhode Island looking for motorcycle rider who struck officer near Massachusetts border
Police are seeking the public’s assistance to identify the male depicted in the above photo.
According to police, on the evening of October 28th at approximately 7:45 p.m., the male suspect was operating recklessly at a high rate of speed and struck a Cumberland police officer who was directing traffic at the Diamond Hill Road rotary.
The officer was not seriously injured.
The operator fled northbound on Route 295 North.
The image is from the officer’s body camera.

Looks like the officer was several feet away from the rider. How was he supposedly hit?
