Police in Rhode Island looking for motorcycle rider who drove at officer, cut off and swerved between vehicles at veteran funeral procession
The Warwick Police Department is looking for this motorcycle/operator from the Seasons Market Shell Station at 2025 Post Rd on Friday at 10:30 a.m.
This motorcycle operator reportedly cut off and swerved in between multiple family vehicles that were part of a funeral escort procession for a veteran who would be laid to rest at the Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery in Exeter. The motorcycle operator then intentionally drove at one of the motor officers who was leading the escort in an attempt to startle him, narrowly missing him, before fleeing at a high rate of speed.
The motorcycle was not pursued for safety reasons.
The motorcycle (possibly Yamaha) appears to be an identifiable blue color with white wall tires and an after market exhaust.
The operator is wearing orange riding gloves with all black riding outerwear.
If anyone recognizes this motorcycle, email Nicholas.dinardo@warwickri.gov or call 401-468-4200. All tips are 100% confidential.
