Police in Massachusetts seize hundreds of drug-filled candy bars, $250,000 in cash after drug deals to student buyers
A drug bust in Massachusetts has led to an arrest and the seizure of hundreds of thousands in cash and drugs.
The Dedham Police Detective Bureau, with the assistance of the Norfolk County Anti-Crime Task Force (NORPAC) conducted an investigation after receiving complaints from area neighbors about suspected drug dealing. Neighbors described the activity as a “drive-thru” drug store.
According to police, surveillance conducted during the investigation did substantiate the neighborhood complaints as frequent and obvious drug sales were being made to student aged buyers. Search warrants were obtained and then executed on Thursday resulting in the seizure of a large quantity of mushrooms, THC oils, over 300 THC filled chocolate flavored candy bars, a large quantity of THC filled ampules used in Vape like smoking products, a significantly large amount of marijuana, and over $250,000 in cash.
The suspect, which was not named by police, will be charged in Dedham District Court.
