It wasn’t quite the speeds you will typically see in a police pursuit on On Patrol Live, but dangerous just the same.

According to the Millbury Police Department, at just after 9:15 p.m., Millbury Police officers were dispatched to Route 20 Eastbound for a report of a front-end loader operating erratically on the highway.

Officers initially were unable to locate the vehicle on Route 20; however, it was soon found traveling on Park Hill Avenue. An officer attempted to conduct a motor vehicle stop by activating emergency blue lights, but the operator failed to stop.

A slow-speed pursuit ensued at approximately 10–15 MPH. During this time, the operator was observed driving erratically, nearly striking multiple utility poles and swerving into oncoming traffic. The vehicle continued onto Martin Street, where an assisting officer was able to position their cruiser and bring the front-end loader to a stop.

The operator eventually shut off the vehicle but refused to exit when ordered. Officers safely removed the individual without incident, and he was taken into custody.

The operator, identified as Kelvin Ucles-Flores, 21, of Worcester, is facing several charges.

This incident remains under investigation.
