Police, Gang Task Force arrest Fall River man on gun, drug charges after 2020 firearm arrest
A Fall River man has been arrested on gun and drug charges after a recent firearm arrest.
According to Captain Jay Huard, on Thursday, March 11, members of the Fall River Gang Unit, Vice Unit and the Metro Boston Gang Task Force conducted a search warrant at on Whipple Street. The target of the investigation was 20-year-old Michael Giasson.
A search of the residence was conducted and the following items were located and seized:
a loaded black and tan firearm
a large clear plastic bag containing 16.85 oz of marijuana
a small plastic bag containing .6 oz or marijuana
five commercial bags containing marijuana (3.5 grams each)
a red digital scale
25 empty commercial marijuana bags
Giasson, of Whipple Street in Fall River, was charged with, Possess Firearm without FID Card, Possess to Distribute Class D, and Possess Ammunition without FID Card.
This is the second time that Giasson has been arrested on firearm charges. On July 30 of last year, Giasson was arrested and charged for possessing a black ruger pistol.
