Police, Fire, EMS respond after car smashes through Somerset sub shop

A local restaurant is temporarily closed after a vehicle crashed through it on Saturday afternoon.

At approximately 1:45 p.m., Somerset Police, Fire and EMS responded to a reported crash after a vehicle backed into the Jersey Mike’s sub shop on Route 6 in Somerset.

Crews arrived on scene and requested that a building inspector respond to the scene.

According to Chief William Tedford, there were no injuries. Just one person taken to Charlton Memorial Hospital for evaluation.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
