Police: Early morning Bristol County crash results in serious injuries, transport to trauma center
Norton, MA – The Norton Police Department responded to a serious motor vehicle accident involving a single vehicle on Thursday morning.
At just after 1:30 a.m., officers and firefighters were dispatched to the area of 95 North Washington Street following a report of a vehicle that left the roadway, striking both a utility pole and a tree, resulting in significant damage.
The driver of the vehicle sustained serious injuries and was transported to Rhode Island Hospital by Norton Fire Department ambulance.
Power and utility crews were called to the scene to repair the broken telephone pole.
Emergency personnel remained on-scene for approximately four hours.
The Norton Police Department strongly urges all motorists to drive attentively and responsibly, prioritizing safety at all times.
