A Massachusetts police department has announced the loss of one of their own.

Police Chief Matthew Pinard regrets to report that Littleton Police Sergeant Edmund Bussiere died suddenly at home.

“Sergeant Bussiere just completed his 19th year with the department. He leaves behind a family, including two adult daughters, Maura and Kiera.

“Members of the Littleton Police Department are processing the sudden loss, and the department has placed a ceremonial police cruiser and black bunting in front of police headquarters Sunday.
