Police: Bristol County man is dead after jet ski incident at Massachusetts pond
A local man is dead after an incident involving a jet ski.
According to police, on Saturday, at 4:23 p.m., the Rutland Police Department and the Rutland Fire Department were dispatched to Turkey Hill Pond for a report of a jet ski that had turned over in the water, and the operator had disappeared under the water. Witnesses reported that the individual appeared to be in distress before going under.
Responding units searched the area in boats and on the shore, attempting to locate the man. Additional assets responded to Turkey Hill Pond to assist, including the Fire District 8 Dive Team, several area fire departments, the Massachusetts State Police and the Massachusetts Environmental Police.
Sadly, at approximately 7:49 p.m., divers recovered the body of a 46-year-old Attleboro man. The involved party was not identified pending notification to family.
The causes and circumstances surrounding this incident are being investigated by the Rutland Police Department, with the assistance of the Massachusetts Environmental Police and Massachusetts State Police detectives assigned to the Worcester County District Attorneyβs Office.

My prayers π are with the family and him of course. Not π« very good at texting. I just wrote a35 minute text and for some reason it just Freaking reason it just disappeared 26 years ago it happened to me I was brought up in the project’s never been on 1 & the lady I was with told me to put in a (Life Jacket) and long story short. Doing around 30-35 miles took a sharp turn Nex thing I know I am in The air Didn’t know how much my Head hurt hitting the water if I didn’t have the life Jacket on I would have been well you know I have not π« been on 1 since & never will again To day that lady is my Wife. Never new them things are dangerous. I feel really bad about THIS young man π my ππ prayers π are with him and his family. Don
