Police arrest Fall River man after reported armed robbery at SRTA Bus Station
Fall River Police arrested a city man yesterday after a reported armed robbery.
According to Sergeant Moses Pereira just after 6:30 p.m., Officer Javier Rosa responded to the SRTA Bus Station following a report of an armed robbery.
The victim, a 33-year-old Somerset man, indicated that he encountered a man unknown to him in the area of the bus terminal. The two men had a brief conversation after which the man brandished a knife and demanded that the victim empty his pockets. The victim complied with the demand and provided his personal belongings. The man then fled the area on foot.
After a brief investigation and with the assistance of the victim, Officers identified Jason Santos of Fall River as the suspect. Santos was located and placed under arrest for Armed Robbery.
