Seekonk Police arrest alleged catalytic converter thief with cutting tool
Catalytic converters play an important role in removing harmful exhaust emissions from your vehicle. Thieves steal them because they contain precious metals that scrap yards pay up to a few hundred dollars in cash. Cutting and stealing catalytic converters has been a major problem in the south coast, MA area. On their Facebook page, the Seekonk Police Department recently detailed their frustration with arresting an alleged thief who didn’t show up to court:
“You may remember a while back one of our officers interrupted a suspect actively cutting catalytic converters from vehicles. Well, the suspect missed a court date and a warrant was issued. We arrested him today again and look what he had in his possession. This is a popular tool for these catalytic converter thieves as this crime continues to be a consistent problem. Please keep an eye out for any suspicious activity around parked vehicles and call 911 immediately.”

What is his name and address? We should go to his house and remove his valuables. Maybe we can steal the batteries from his electric car.

Maybe use his tool to take off a couple of finger.
